Anchorman: The Legend Continues

Almost a decade in the making, the comedy sequel that millions of fans around the world have waited for is finally happening – and it’s all going down here in Atlanta! Anchorman: The Legend Continues is set to begin shooting in our fair city soon and casting calls for a number of supporting, day player and extras roles have been announced. Aspiring local performers of all ages can submit themselves today for a shot to be a part of what will surly be the comedy of the year.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues, the sequel to 2004’s classic Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy will find our favorite wacky news team returning for a story set at the advent of cable news giants when local news stalwarts like San Diego’s Channel 4 started to lose relevance and ratings. This highly anticipated second chapter will reunite writer-director Adam McKay (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, The Other Guys) with his comedy muse and co-producer Ferrell (Wedding Crashers, Zoolander, Elf) and the rest of the original Channel 4 crew made up of fan favorites Steve Carell (The Office, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Despicable Me), David Koechner (Dirty Work, Thank You for Smoking, Piranha 3DD) Christina Applegate (Married With Children, Hall Pass, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel) and Paul Rudd (Role Models, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Night at the Museum). Anchorman: The Legend Continues will also feature a who’s who list of cameos and guest stars that so far includes Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler with many more to come. This is the definitive casting call event of the year and it’s all happening in the ATL. Auditions for this incredible production will be going on soon and applications are being accepted today. To submit yourself for any available roles you can send emails here TeachingMan2@gmail.com and leave a comment below and tell us what you think of the movie and why you want a chance to be cast in Will Ferrell’s Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

I have 5 years theater under my belt. I have played many different roles in several productions. I was also cast in a couple independent films that folded (funding issues). It has been a while since I have actually acted but I am yearning to get back into it. I live here in Atlanta now, so I guess I am at the right place at the right time for this opportunity!!! I mean who wouldn’t want to be a part of this ALL STAR CAST creating laughs!!!

I’m 15 and I have no acting experience, but I have wanted to act forever. When I was 8, I went to audition for a commercial, and they said I was a natural at it. I plan on taking up acting classes and such as soon as I can. Being apart of this would be a fantastic way to start. I memorize lyrics easily, so hopefully I could do the same with lines!
